How do I fix my Spectrum Internet connection?

If the cable modem has trouble maintaining a stable connection, turning it off and then on again can fix the problem or overheat it.

Restart the modem

Check if the modem is overheating
If a modem overheats, the internet connection may become unstable. If so, turn it off and let it cool down. Then turn it on and test the internet connection. If it's more stable, you'll either need to find a way to keep the cable modem cool, or you may need to replace it.

1.      If you have not yet reset your router, turn off your computer and unplug the power cord from the router.
2.      Wait at least 10 seconds and then plug the power cord back into the router.
3.      Wait for the indicator lights on the front of the router to stop blinking.
4.      The blinking lights indicate that the router is self-checking and connecting to the Internet. Then turn on your computer.
